Attending a Dutch education programme
Are you temporarily unable to integrate because you are attending an education programme in the Netherlands? First check if you can get a temporary exemption.
Conditions
If you are integrating under the 2021 civil integration act (Wet inburgering 2021), there is 1 condition:
- Your study programme entitles you to a full exemption if you obtain the diploma.
No need to apply
You do not need to apply for the temporary exemption. If you meet the conditions, the temporary exemption will be granted automatically.
Did you receive a letter about the requirement to integrate? And have you been registered with your study programme for more than a month? If so, please contact DUO.
Conditions
If you are integrating under the 2013 civil integration act (Wet inburgering 2013), these are the conditions:
- Your study programme entitles you to a full exemption if you obtain the diploma.
- You started the programme no later than 2 months after your 18th birthday.
