Overview
Mijn Inburgering will show you which exams you need to take. But sometimes you do not have to take all these exams. Or you do not have to take any exams at all. It matters under which act you are required to integrate: the 2013 integration act or the 2021 integration act.
In this situation, you may not have to take all exams:
- You have a serious illness or disability.
- You have a Nt2 certificate or diploma that entitles you to a partial exemption.
In these situations, you may not have to take any exams at all.
- You have a serious illness or disability.
- You obtained a diploma in the Netherlands. Or you hold a diploma from a programme in Dutch obtained in Belgium or Suriname.
- You have lived in the Netherlands for at least 10 years, and you worked in the Netherlands for at least 5 years Link opent externe pagina .
- You are required to integrate, but you can’t because of exceptional circumstances.
In these situations, you may not have to take all exams:
- During the past year, you worked in the Netherlands for at least 6 months Link opent externe pagina .
- You obtained a Nt2 diploma or certificate (Dutch as a 2nd language state exam).
In these situations, you may not have to take any exams at all:
- You attended at least 600 hours of a course.
- You have a serious illness or disability.
- You have lived in the Netherlands for at least 10 years, and you worked in the Netherlands for at least 5 years Link opent externe pagina .
- You obtained a diploma in the Netherlands. Or you hold a diploma from a programme in Dutch obtained in Belgium or Suriname.
- You are required to integrate, but you can’t because of exceptional circumstances.
Eligible for AOW (state pension)
Are you receiving AOW? Then you no longer need to integrate. You must integrate until your AOW pension age Link opent externe pagina . After that, you don't have to take any more exams. You can therefore no longer borrow.
