Exemption ONA for working people has taken effect

If you have a job, you may not have to do the Orientation on the Dutch Labour Market (ONA) exam. This rule has now taken effect.

Exemption means you don’t have to pass the ONA exam. You can apply for the exemption if you meet the following conditions:

  • During the past 12 months you worked for at least 6 months.
  • You were a salaried worker. This means you received wages from an employer.
  • You worked at least 48 hours a month.

Do you want to apply for the exemption? Or do you have any questions? The information in English is not available yet. Check the information in Dutch on Regels vrijstelling Oriëntatie op de Nederlandse Arbeidsmarkt.
